Family Care at GSA 2024

Family Care/Nursing Room

GSA will be providing a family care room at the Seattle Convention Center during the GSA 2024 Annual Scientific Meeting. This room will be available to those who need a safe space for their child while attending a session or event or to those who need a space to rest or wait for a family member / individual presenting at GSA 2024.

Children must be accompanied by an adult (18 or over) during their time in the family care room and must never be left unattended.

Parents, guardians, or attendees wishing to access this room must pick up a Family Pass badge at the registration desk on the 4th floor of the Seattle Convention Center. A GSA-contracted security guard will monitor access to the room and require that adults entering this room have a Family Pass badge.

In addition, GSA will also be providing a private nursing room for nursing mothers.

Family Pass Badge

How do I access the Family Care Room at GSA 2024?

Step 1

You will need a Family Pass badge to gain entry into the Family Care Room.

Family Pass badges are available at the registration desk on the 4th floor of the Seattle Convention Center.

Step 2

The Family Care Room is located on the 3rd floor of the Seattle Convention Center in room #301. Show your Family Pass badge to the security guard at the door.

Private Nursing Room

A private nursing room will be available for nursing mothers to use during the conference. Access to this room will be available on a first come first served basis and will be locked with an "in use" sign displayed on the door when occupied. The private nursing room is located on the 3rd floor of the Seattle Convention Center in room #302, next door to the Family Care Room.

Babysitting Services

Due to liability, resources and other concerns, GSA is not able to provide direct babysitting services at GSA 2024. The Seattle Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) has provided GSA with a list of babysitting services in the area. GSA has not vetted and does not endorse or take responsibility or have liability for the services provided by the childcare organizations in the list provided. Vetting and/or interviews should be conducted by the parent/caregiver to ensure an appropriate fit and care for their child.

Exhibit Hall and Sessions

Children under the age of 18 are only allowed in the Exhibit Hall when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Out of respect for our exhibitors, poster presenters, and attendees we ask a parent or guardian to closely monitor any disruption in the exhibit hall. Because of the professional nature of the presentations given in our scientific programs, children should not be in the session rooms to avoid potential interruption to a presentation. The family care room is available as a service to accommodate those giving or attending presentations.
